Launched on #GivingTuesday, we’re continuing the giving spirit of the holiday season through December 31! What is Giving Tuesday, you may ask? #GivingTuesday was founded by the team in the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact at 92nd Street Y, #GivingTuesday is a global giving movement that has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world. This year, #GivingTuesday fell on November 27. #GivingTuesday harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season. It inspires people to take collective action to improve their communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they believe in, and help create a better world. #GivingTuesday demonstrates how every act of generosity counts, and that they mean even more when we give together.
SO, to have a little fun with it, we want to know: Why have you called Homework Hotline? Why do you teach? Why do you tutor? Or, why do you support Homework Hotline?
Post a photo of yourself and your answer with one of these signs on Facebook or Instagram. For every picture tagging @HomeworkHotlineTN and #GivingTuesday, you’re showing us that you support our tutors and the students that call.
DONATE on Giving Tuesday (Nov 27)! If you donate $100 or more on/before Giving Tuesday, you’ll get a free ticket to our annual trivia event in May, and our Board of Directors will match up to $1000—double your impact just by donating!
